The Program and Project Management (PPM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities, such as facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial facilities. We also specialize in large-scale disaster recovery construction and mitigation programs throughout the Americas. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives.
AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our design build services within one of our top government clients. This position will be located in Santa Rosa. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.
Provide project management support of a major new construction project, and administrative support including, but not limited to: project management, planning; deliverables tracking; and task management support
Assist in providing program administrative duties including staffing and training
Manage complex projects to deliver services and results that meet or exceed client requirements and are aligned with AECOM’s objectives
Review project proposal or plan to determine and establish time frame, work plan, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and available resources to various phases of projects
Establish levels of control and detail, planning and scheduling, cost analysis and forecasting, progress measurement, earned value performance, risk analysis and change control
Provide advice, guidance, mentoring and direction to subordinates and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals
Responsible for overall planning, coordination and execution from inception to completion to produce a functionally and financially viable projects that will be completed on time, within authorized cost, and to the required quality
Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management
Accommodate additional responsibilities as assumed through personal initiative or assigned by higher authority
Assist the owner in monitoring and assessing contract impact due to contract modifications and assist the owner in the contract modification process
Manage RFI, Submittals, Change Order and other project management and project control processes
Provide acquisition management planning and execution support
Will act as primary point of contact for client and as Agency Construction Manager
Supervisory duties for managing onsite AECOM and sub-consultant staff
Experience working with public sector clients managing multiple projects or a large project/program
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture or related field
15 years’ experience in Project and Program Management with at least 3 years as Senior Project Manager
Public sector and Justice market (courthouse construction) experience strongly preferred
CCM, PE or other professional certification is desired
Management and supervisory experience
CM at Risk delivery method experience highly preferred
Experience with high-rise /mid-rise new construction and major TI projects required
