Overview

This Data Arcitect position requires at least a DoD Top Secret clearance and is located at Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities
FTI is currently looking for an Data Architect Engineer to provide engineering support for the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), for the Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) Program. This role will understand Ground and Space C2 systems and develop relationships with mission partners across SMC with the following related tasks:
Create and review architecture models and diagrams using model based systems engineering tools and practices
Architecting data solutions for both real-time services and business intelligence
Deploying solutions to Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
Extracting/writing data through API calls and web services
Deploying solution with relational and non-relational data structures
Deploying solutions with cloud-native database technologies
Design and provide support to all data management methodologies according to required standards
Monitor and identify appropriate equipments, tools and systems to achieve all data technology goals
Administer mapping of all data sources and movement and analyze it to ensure appropriate quality of all data
Coordinate with project supervisors and business heads and manages all projects regarding enterprise data
Manage various data associate problems such as system configuration and integration on multiple platforms
Develop key metrics for tests on data and ensure integrity of same on data architecture
Prepare documents for data architecture and maintain knowledge on large data structure as well
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field required (Master’s degree preferred)
5-7 years of data architect experience
5+ years of experience in creating data models (logical & physical) & streamlining data processes
5+ years of experience w/enterprise data management technologies, including database platforms and ETL tools
5+ years of experience with SQL and ability to build and run complex queries
Experience with Cloud BI & DW solutions (experience with AWS and Snowflake SaaS environment a plus)
Must have Current TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain TS/SCI
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Prior experience in support of DoD software development
Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with MS Excel and other MS Office tools
Ability to work with cross functional team (i.e. project manager, architectures, engineers, etc.)
Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team
