This Cybersecurity Operations Engineering position requires at least a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and located in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Cybersecurity Operations Engineer will work on the Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) program providing expertise and support in network security engineering and/or integration of security products. This is a fast-paced and highly challenging position where you will be a member of a team that designs and develops advanced software capabilities as well as designing necessary hardware infrastructure to support Enterprise Ground Services in a continuous integration/continuous deployment environment.
Identify, plan, and document improvements to security controls
Develop and document recommendations and courses of action to solve complex cybersecurity problems
Plan and install new or modified security hardware, operating systems, and software applications
Customize commercial products to meet cybersecurity requirements
Build, maintain and improve the security of local and deployed systems and infrastructure
Influence and design current strategies and procedures for securing system environments
Perform vulnerability identification and remediation
Implement security controls to address compliance requirements
Build and maintain secure enterprise network along with the associated documentation, diagrams and procedures
Provide current, innovative, and adaptive approaches that enhance network security approaches to individual and federated enterprises
Research and design new approaches to mitigating attacks with automation
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field is desired. Master Degree (in similar technical area) highly desired.
Top Secret clearance required, SCI highly desired
Minimum of 15 years planning, designing, developing, integrating, testing and/or deploying secure information technology
Experience working with DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) space system acquisition programs
Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD / IC cybersecurity requirements, policies and best practices
Experience in IT Security including requirements, architecture and design
