Title:

Process Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision carry out Design Safety Philosophy, Plan and specifications for fire protection systems (active & passive), data sheet for firefighting systems
  • Assist/ Participate in Process Hazard reviews and analysis including HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies and carry out Actions close-out
  • Under supervision/independently carry out analysis and design of Active and Passive Fire Protection systems and prepare Hazardous Area Classification documentation, Safety & Fire Fighting layouts and other Safety drawings
  • Support in review/consolidate comments and co-ordination in Third Party Studies including FERA, Dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, Dropped objects study, QRA studies, etc
  • Act as a support to Package Engineer for Safety & Fire Fighting Equipment
  • Interact/co-ordinate with Designers & provide inputs for safety layout preparations for projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university Engineering or equivalent
  • Has minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas/petrochemical industries
  • Has involved in design projects for Offshore processing platforms, FPSOs, LNG facilities etc
  • Familiar with international health, safety and environmental codes, standards, recommended practices and regulations and their application to oil & gas projects
  • Familiar with plot plan reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification/verification and safety reviews preferred
  • Working Knowledge of local/owners safety regulations for Singapore projects will be essential
  • Good working knowledge in PIPENET Vision, Flaresim and other consequence modelling softwares such as DNV PHAST etc. preferred
