Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to add a Systems Test Engineer to our team in our exciting and innovative ground processing software application. Your future duties and responsibilities as a Systems Test Engineer will involve:

  • Read and understand applicable software, documentation, hardware, and implementation of our current and follow-on ground systems

  • Read and understand the current plans for system testing, test procedures, and anticipated outcomes for each test event, including security requirements and constraints

  • Follow the integration of the system elements and integrated system testing

  • Understand the customer needs regarding the modeling and simulation needs

  • Contribute to creating, editing, and following test documentation  throughout all phases of the testing program, including summaries of the data analyses

  • Develop and utilize scripts for conducting software tests, for coordinating data inputs and capturing mission data and required metadata

  • Evaluate the algorithms, methods models, and applications

  • Conduct thorough verification testing of the software on appropriate environments to establish baseline performance tests and verification tests

  • Uncover and report discrepancies, assess impacts, and make recommendations on workarounds and fixes to make the system work effectively

  • Work with staff to combine evaluations and recommendations into overall test summaries and conclusions

  • Communicate concerns, issues, and problems with leadership, as necessary


  • BS degree with nine (9) years or more of experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree

  • Sound technical skills in software, scripting, or software testing and analysis

  • Knowledge in software testing principles and terminology

  • Ability to create and use scripts, such as Python, to set up and run test sequences, while providing test inputs and compiling data outputs for analysis

  • Ability to coordinate with other technical personnel and program users to ensure test results are commonly understood and communicated to technical and non-technical personnel

  • Support extended work hours during testing events

  •  Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph prior to the start date

Desired Qualifications


    • Expertise in the use of various programming languages and scientific computing

    • Experience with testing and evaluating human-machine interfaces with system operators

    • Experience with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense organizations, especially with space-based systems

    • Orbital mechanics knowledge
