SAIC is looking for a Business Process Analyst to join our team in support of our customer the Army Human Resources Command in Fort Knox, KY.  This position will reside on the team working with the Boards, Evaluation and Promotions program. This program is responsible for the development of systems that manage soldier evaluations, promotions and other processes that drive a soldier’s career. The Business Analyst will be part of a team that is responsible for the upkeep of several Java applications. The Business Analyst will interface with the customer, testers and developers to ensure the requirements for the project are collected, analyzed and understood by all team members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Elicit business functional and operational requirements including documenting HRC related business processes workflow, HRM transactions and/or operational activities.
  • Collect relevant organizational human resources management processes information via interviews, surveys, technical interchanges, workshops, teleconferences, and/or documentation analysis.
  • As directed, research, validate, and verify analytical information.
  • Ensure that operational business processes definitions are documented correctly (consistent, traceable, and verifiable).
  • Maintain integrity and manage changes to requirements and business process documentation via SharePoint, and/or another designated Government centralized data/information repository.
  • Conducts analysis of business processes: current state analysis, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices identification, organizational assessment, and other related tasks.
  • Plans and implements process improvements, including: future state design, change management, and transition planning.
  • Interfaces with all areas of project including stakeholder, customer, and development team which may be internal or external.
  • Will work directly with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.



Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience. 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with different functional and operational team technical representatives
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated technical writing capabilities
  • DOD Secret Clearance Required, but an Interim Secret is acceptable to start work and SAIC will process this for the qualified candidate.
  • US Citizen – No dual citizenship

Desired Qualifications

 Desired Experience: 
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree and 5 years of experience
  • Experience in US Army Accessions and/or Retention
  • Experience eliciting and documenting software requirements
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Visio and Project
  • Experience and proficiency using Borland Caliber
  • Demonstrated files and data management capabilities
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
