Description

The SAIC Office of Security is seeking a Physical Security Subject Matter Expert to support the corporate Physical Security program and the various government agencies supported. This position will oversee all aspects of the design, build, and accreditation of SCIF/SAPF/Closed Area facilities. The candidate will develop security plans, ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as ICD 705 , the NISPOM and TEMPEST requirements, and establish policies and procedures for all areas within the physical security discipline. Responsibilities include building in security in depth through measures such as Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems, and CCTV . As a member of the Physical Security Program, the individual must have knowledge and experience to guide local security teams and serve as an advisor to program management.

Additional duties and/or responsibilities:

• Work closely with facilities, IT, Networks and the FSO/PSO's to capture program requirement and design suitable classified spaces to meet the mission.
• Develop Systems diagram for alarm, access control and CCTV systems
• Assists in the development and the implementation of the organization's Physical and Technical Security program
• Conduct physical security surveys/reviews
• Develop Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) and training material for the Physical Security Program.
• Policy development, writing and implementation.
• Cross communication with other functional areas (Facilities, Information Technology Office, etc.)
• Advise Program Manager of the status of assigned projects



Qualifications

Required Experience/Knowledge of:

• Access Control Systems
• Intrusion Detection Systems (Alarm Systems)
• CCTV systems and operations
• Reading facility drawings to include structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
• Writing and interpreting corporate policies.
• Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Construction Security
• TEMPEST Requirements and Countermeasures
• ICD 705 and NISPOM requirements

Required Education and Experience: 

• HS and 14 years experience; Associates Degree and 12 years experience; Bachelors and 10 years or more of related experience; Masters and 8 years or more experience ; PhD or JD and 2 years or more experience.
• Must have strong interpersonal and briefing skills; be able to communicate with senior level internal and external personnel on matters requiring coordination between programs.
• Minimum clearance required: Top Secret and must be able to obtain SCI clearance w/polygraph.
• Minimum 8 years of Physical/Technical Security experience.
