Aircraft Parts Store Technician - Military veterans preferred

NSPA AFG: Aircraft Parts Store (APS)
Key duties include storing and issuing select weapon system spares and in-warehouse supply assets, selecting items to be shipped or transferred, conducting warehouse validations, maintaining central locator functions, performing warehouse inspection functions (i.e. shelf life, functional checks), managing Readiness Spares Package (RSP) inventories, RSP reconciliations, and managing the staging area for delivery of items, all in accordance with the contract SOW and relevant Air Force Instructions.

The Role and Responsibilities.

Coordinate materials for issue, repackaging, storage, disposal, or shipment to designated locations �
Conduct daily downloads of ES-S (Enterprise Solution Supply) Asset Management reports to verify property that needs to be pull from stock and put away back into stock. �
Perform unique warehouse functions and must know how to assign locations and conduct inventories. �
Adhere to and apply proper inspection, issue, storage, warehousing, and materiel handling techniques �
Runs additional reports listing that pertains to Aircraft Part Store using LIMS-EV/ES-S �
Research, procure, receive, store and handle property in a manner that is safe, secure and in compliance with environmental directives, inventory, manage shelf-life items �
Perform stock screening actions and will maintain all stock screening notifications and screening results received from the bases until suspect flags or exception control data is removed �
Ensure stock is properly identifiable with DD FORM 1574 Serviceable TAG A �
Acts as support for aircraft mechanics when parts and additional maintenance resources are required �
Interfaces with other functional areas such as Receiving, Inspection, Inventory, and Transportation sections in order to coordinate shortages, other discrepancies, or expedite stock problems �
Perform housekeeping duties within area and help maintain a safe working environment �
Keep records accountability of property that is issued to customer and maintains documents and files �
Inspection and verify property from Transportation & Receiving section before placing into warehouse location �
Able to assists customers with purchasing status and convey to mechanics and customer's shipping information and confirm arrival of parts


US Secret Security clearance, ability to obtain a CAC card. Experience in US Air Force Supply (LRS) Aircraft Parts Store Technician (E4/E5), Career field 2S051 Experience with US Air Force Supply Computer System - ESS, LIMS-EV. HazMat certificate for storage, handling distribution and shipping. Must have Forklift certificate up to 7/10 ton. Valid Driver Licence.

Must have proven experience of functions and activities relating to USAF Supply material management requirements and computer systems, predominantly in Aircraft Parts Store (APS).
An understanding of US Air force instructions with the ability to research AFI/AFM for clarification and compliance. �
Minimum four years' service in U.S. Air Force Supply preferably E4/5 in career field 2S051. �
Preferred knowledge of other USAF Supply Management functions, with the ability to assist with secondary duty functions in FSC repair cycle, Inventory & Inspection, Customer service and Central Storage. �
Proficient in the use of computers Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). �
Good oral and written communications skills required with excellent organizational abilities and customer facing experience. �
Knowledge and understanding of health, safety and environmental matters within the workplace. Where stipulated will wear relevant PPE as required by the task and security conditions. �
Position is located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting, carrying and wearing 25 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. �
Military experience in a hostile environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred. �
Willingness to comply with applicable Government and Corporate regulations, policies and procedures
