Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Transportation Construction Inspector for employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office under the direction of the Project Supervisor. The Transportation Construction Inspector will monitor and document that the roadway and/or bridge projects are being built in accordance with the approved permits, plans and specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently planning, coordinating, inspecting and/or overseeing project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance and standards.

  • Ensure that construction conforms to the project plans, specifications, and special provisions.

  • Reviewing and maintaining pertinent project documentation and ensure that it accurately details construction progress, activities and materials.

  • Take field measurements and perform calculations.

  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting project inspection reports, work authorizations, work orders and estimates. Notifying contractor of non-compliance and corrective action.

  • Observe general job safety practices for compliance and document that the contractor enforces its safety plan.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 2 plus years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • 4 plus years of relevant professional experience
