Title:

Configuration Manager

The Configuration Manager will support Research & Development, Procurement, and Operational & Maintenance components for Nuclear Materials Programs at the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), located on Patrick AFB, FL. The Configuration Manager will have Engineering & Manufacturing Development/Technology Maturation& Risk Reduction (EMD/TMRR) experience and a working knowledge and familiarity with mature configuration management practices and procedures. Assist the government in developing Nuclear Materials Systems Division (AFTAC/SDB) program requirements and manage those requirements using configuration management (CM) tools.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Position contingent on contract award.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform sustainment related tasks associated to the control, change and release of engineering documents on a major program and/or product line.
  • Perform EMD/TMRR tasks associated to the control, change and release of engineering documents on a major program and/or product line.
  • Perform acquisition life cycle Production phase related tasks associated with the control, change and release of engineering documents on a major program and/or product line.
  • Perform CDRL identification and tailoring in support of program office.
  • Maintain engineering release and change records.
  • Maintain configuration management related computer records.

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree (8+ yrs. experience) or Master degree (5+ yrs. experience) in a relevant area of study.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Extensive experience with version/source control, comprehensive knowledge of engineering drawings, release and change control procedures using military, commercial and international standards as they pertain to configuration management and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with technical employees, management and customers.
  • Ability to work within a customer environment under demanding conditions.
  • General experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Experience work within a government Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).

OTHER :

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must pass drug test.
