Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Wireless Communications (RF) Engineer for support of current and future projects. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing radio systems for clients in multiple industries, including Mass Transit, Power, Public Safety, and Law Enforcement

Specific experience required includes:

  • Experience creating detailed radio requirements and specifications

  • Experience testing radio performance and generating test reports

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Experience demonstrating teamwork and collaboration.

  • Understanding of link budget analysis

  • Understanding of Analog and digital modulation

  • Knowledge of digital signal processing

  • Experience producing specifications for radio systems and their interfaces

  • Experience using lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.

  • Understanding of link layer protocol

  • Experience with iBwave or similar analysis and design software


Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Information Systems, or other relevant discipline)

  • Professional Engineer license

  • 15 or more years of engineering experience with at least 8 years concentrated in RF engineering
