Modeling and Simulation Lead Modeling and Simulation Lead Influence the Future of Missile Defense Modeling and Simulation! ABOUT THIS POSITION Join a diverse team of talented and inspired engineers and analysts to support the Government in developing and integrating Air and Missile Defense Modeling and Simulation tools in Huntsville, Alabama. As major Air and Missile Defense weapon systems become integrated, the Government requires integration of system specific Modeling and Simulation tools as well. The Modeling and Simulation Lead role will consist of characterizing, developing, and supporting the Government in implementation of software solutions required to integrate current and future tools using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) best practices. The position requires well-rounded and in-depth technical knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, model development, visualization tools, post processing tools, and analysis. Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in work performance is required. Candidates require extensive experience with Air and Missile Defense modeling tools and Government customer interactions. Some travel for meetings and test events will be required.Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of demonstrated knowledge of MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python, have the ability to write scripts for data processing and data parsing, and be comfortable working in both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • 5+ years of Major Missile Defense system Modeling and Simulation Technical leadership and/or Program Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Model Based Systems Engineering, agile software development methodologies, architectural design patterns, and in developing models of Command, Control, Communications for Missile Defense systems
  • Extensive experience and domain knowledge in either leading system level Modeling and Simulation studies or in the area of product quality modeling and evaluation
  • Proven experience meeting with Government customers to define requirements, review progress, review deliverables, and define future milestones
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance


  • Modeling and Simulation design experience with Patriot, THAAD, and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense Modeling and Simulation tools
  • Experience in identifying gaps in critical Government customer capabilities and providing recommendations on how to bring those capabilities to the organization
  • Experience originating and managing Modeling and Simulation studies executed by various agencies and delivering results to the Government
  • Demonstrated experience working closely on a day-to-day basis with the Government customer providing Modeling and Simulation recommendations and representing the Government customer in cross-agency forums and events as needed
  • Technical breadth and ability to rapidly acquire a working knowledge in new technical areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
