Weapon System Technology Protection Engineer Weapon System Technology Protection Engineer Develop innovative weapon systems to protect the Warfighter! ABOUT THIS POSITION Join a diverse team of talented and inspired engineers and analysts to support the Government in developing new Army Air and Missile Defense programs in Huntsville, Alabama. With integration activities occurring between fielded and emerging Air and Missile Defense weapon systems, and through activities sharing these systems with our Allies, the Government requires subject matter expertise in the field of technology protection engineering. The Weapon System Technology Protection Engineer incorporates resiliency in the weapons systems acquisition process via the Systems Engineering process. They will assist in the development of a requirements construct to help Missile Defense programs interpret and scope system security, acquisition security, and resilience requirements. The position requires well-rounded and in-depth technical knowledge. Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in work performance is required. Candidates require experience with systems engineering, Foreign Military Sales, and Government customer interactions. Some travel for meetings and test events will be required.Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Bachelor's of Science in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as a systems engineer applying scientific and engineering principles identifying security vulnerabilities to minimize or contain risks associated with these vulnerabilities for a major weapon system
  • Extensive experience applying security integration to major weapon systems within one or more of the following specialties: defense exportability features, hardware assurance, software assurance, anti-tamper, or cybersecurity
  • Technical background in development, management, or acquisition of a major Air and Missile defense system developed for Foreign Military Sales
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Broad understanding of US Army / MDA major Missile Defense system acquisition across the entire acquisition process
  • Technology specific understanding (e. g., networked systems, Commercial Off the Shelf/Government Off the Shelf and Developmental component integration)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our Government customers
