Duties and Responsibilities:
Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) is the center of technical excellence for developing, acquiring, fielding, and sustaining military space systems. SAIC supports SMC’s mission and is currently looking for engineers with a test background to conduct research, analysis, planning, engineering, and valuation activities for the Production Corps at SMC. Tasks will include independently identify high-risk areas associated with development and production of space systems. Individuals shall establish benefits, impacts, and risks associated with technical decisions in order to reduce, mitigate, and avoid negative impacts to the Mission Area programs as well as the associated users and stakeholders with a focus on process and integration improvement. This position is located at El Segundo, CA.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Assess Production Corp’s program artifacts to reduce deployment risk (PDR, CDR, Ops Acceptance Test (OAT)).
Conduct traceability analyses, confirming each requirement links to a test event and official sign-off requirements are identified
Review/evaluate Test Policies and Directives applicable to SMC and the Production Corp and provide recommendations to the government
Provide test expertise ensuring DoD test policies and best practices are implemented and followed across the Production Corp.
Review, evaluate, and provide recommendations on program test planning documentation within the Production Corp.
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
May lead and direct the work of others.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
DoD Secret required; TS clearance highly desired
Participated with senior managers to establish plans and objectives
Ability to recommend/make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
Work proficiently on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious
Model-Based Systems Engineering/Digital Engineering Experience
