Job Summary

As part of our dedicated Visualisation team within Cost Intelligence, the Visualisation Analyst role we offer can be varied and is dependent on the Client, sector and project you will be working for. You could be based in London, Oxford, Birmingham or Basingstoke as our teams work across the UK. Due to the variety of solutions we develop, there is a breadth of work in which you can be involved, which often can include:

  • Dashboard development

  • Statistical analyses

  • Performance reporting and analysis

  • Database development and data management activities (including cost, carbon and asset data)

  • Capex, opex and carbon cost modelling

As a Visualisation Analyst at AECOM you would have the opportunity to assist in all of the above tasks as well as contribute to the on-going development of internal tools and datasets, utilising your skills with class-leading visualisation and ETL techniques and working with Cost Intelligence colleagues in our Machine Learning, Cost Research and Benchmarking teams.

Minimum Requirements

Key Capabilities

  • Ability to produce comprehensive visualisations and dashboards

  • Ability to capture and model data from multiple systems

  • Good understanding of reporting principles and practice

  • Interpreting Data - ability to use statistical techniques, to analyse results sourced from data

  • Gathering Information - ability to acquire data from primary and secondary sources

  • Identifying Trends - ability to analyse data identify patterns or trends within data sets

  • Visualisation - ability to visually represent captured and modelled data to glean insight and knowledge

  • Working knowledge of data and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Optionally coupled with a decent working knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, data modelling and database design.

  • Ability to analyse, design & implement systems architectures across multiple bespoke scenarios along with experience in workflow development and implementation optional.
