L ocation: DC, Maryland, Virginia area.

The Security Administrative Specialist provides support primarily to the Office of Security and Counterintelligence (OS&CI) senior manager in areas of division and operational administrative security functions. The services may also support other Directorates and Offices as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains tracking records and filling systems, archives files as necessary.
  • Recommends new administrative support processes.
  • Executes agency and local Directorate/Office security in and out processing requirements.
  • Issues security related equipment, records, receipts, or supplies.
  • Maintains a schedule of appointments for a manager or offices.
  • Schedules polygraph testing.
  • Answers security related telephone calls, directs calls to the appropriate branch or office, and takes messages.
  • Researches, records, and reports statistical analysis for historical and planning purposes.
  • Provides security support for passing, verifying, and receiving clearances, confirming Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security eligibility, processing visitor requests, processing requests for agency Badges, and processing Visit Certification and Perm Certifications.
  • Updates security data, runs inquiries, provides quality control, develops reports using various IC and/or DoD databases.
  • Provides support coordinating, tasking and managing security action responses from internal agency, other Government, and industry organizations.
  • Maintains and updates appropriate security related databases.
  • Provides administrative/customer support duties for access control and physical security support to the agency Headquarter buildings.
  • Issues and manages badges for Headquarters personnel and visitors.
  • Updates data, provides quality control, run reports, and uses the Monitor Dynamics Inc. system and Lenel System for proper badging.
  • Visits Request and Badging System (VRBS), Access Polygraph Investigative Collection System (APICS), and others as needed.
  • Processes certifications for access via fax, email, electronic message format and IC databases for visitors for daily visit or multiple visits up to one year.
  • Assists with badge issues, provide visitors information support, directions and assist in contacting visitor POC.
  • Assists with onboarding and out-processing of personnel to include badge creation for new personnel and badge destruction for departed personnel as well as assists in updating accesses for personnel.
  • Assists in the set-up and conduct of the weekly briefing for new personnel introduction to the agency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 1 Year of experience.
