At each worksite, Coordinator will meet with employees, register them in the carpool system, encourage more carpooling, and entice participation with prizes.
Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing, and planning-related tasks, aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers, commuters, and/or students to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, teleworking, and other options.
Develop, promote, and/or implement a range of worksite and/or schools-based operational programs aimed at improving business operations and/or reducing on-site pollutants, to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion.
Must have a combination of writing, graphics, organizational/management and people skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; manage multiple assignments; interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Exercises sound judgment when communicating with internal and/or external clients or customers.
Latitude of creativity is required to produce effective and successful communication materials.
Works under limited supervision with final work product reviewed to validate consistency with branding requirements and messaging.
May provide functional advice and training to less experienced team members.
BA/BS + None or AA/AS (US) + 2 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 2 YORE or HS/GED + 4 YORE
Experience in communications and outreach programs
Experience interfacing with the public
Professional, creative, and outgoing personality
Sales or marketing background may be beneficial
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus
