SAIC is looking for a well-qualified Systems Administrator to join an exciting program in Springfield, Virginia

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to learn. Job responsibilities include the maintenance, operations, and life cycle management support of systems, software, and appliances to include enterprise management of client systems. As a systems administrator, candidate will be required to resolve help desk tickets both in-person and via phone utilizing third party software suites; perform system upgrades and patches as required to enhance functionality and security; and install and test computers, peripherals, and a modern video distribution system.


  • An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI);
  • The ability to successfully complete a U.S. Government Polygraph
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience [OR] Master's degree and 3 years experience. 
    • Additional experience and/or any of the following compliant certifications may be substituted in lieu of a degree:
      • The CompTIA A+ CE
      • The CompTIA Network+ CE,
      • The CompTIA Security+ CE (preferred) certification
      • The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc. (ISC2) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification; and
  • 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining multi-site enterprise-level solutions including Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2;
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft operating systems (OS), Microsoft Office Suites, Lync, SharePoint, Skype For Business, common applications (such as web browsers), and peripherals (e.g., printers or scanners); and
  • 2+ years of experience administering, operating, and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions including root, subordinate, and issuing certificate authority (CA)  operations, certificate revocation list (CRL) management, and web-based servers (e.g., Apache and/or IIS) and services (enrollment, CRL distribution point) across RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft platforms.
