EPS Corporation is currently seeking a MECHANICAL OR AEROSPACE DESIGNER/ENGINEER to join our Information Management Solutions group in our Lexington Park (Patuxent River), MD office.

Responsibilities include:

Providing assistance with the review and evaluation of engineering drawings and 3-D models for compliant data markings and consistency between drawings and Data Rights Assertion List (DRAL)
Reviewing DRAL submittals for proper data rights assertions
Conducting Top Down Breakdown (TDBD) for each system within top level weapons system for completeness of the data package
Reviewing OEM CDRL submittals for Data Accession List and Drawing Access
Reviewing contractual language for future requirements WRT drawings/models
Supporting Intermediate and Depot maintenance stand-up WRT technical data rights
Analyzing system design and contractual funding to support data rights challenges
Supporting program configuration audit activities
Requirements
Minimum Educational Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Design/Engineering is required.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional four (4) years of experience working in direct support of Defense life-cycle logistics can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

At least five (5) years of experience in mechanical/aerospace design is required.

Experience designing a system (any system, especially aircraft) and the Technical Data Package (TDP) creation IAW ASME Y.14 and/or MIL-STD-31000A; experience with ASME AED-1 and ASME Y14.47 is a plus
TDP creation using CAD models with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) metadata, preferably per the requirements in ASME Y14.41
Experience doing design work for a major OEM, along with submission of TDPs to the DoD
Creation of TDPs using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system is a plus
Other relevant experience includes:
Producing and delivering JEDMICS-ready Level-III CAD technical data packages
Designing/redesigning, manufacturing, and testing system components
Improving company CAD modeling and drafting standards to become compliant with ASME Y14.100-200
Improving company policies for storage and access of all current and archived CAD data and maintenance of the CAD library
