SAIC has an immediate opening for a GEOINT Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory support to the Operations Engineering (OE) organization within the Mission Operations Directorate (MOD).  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • As a member of a project team, execute assigned actions, support team members, and resolve emerging impediments to success
  • Support the development and assessment of operational concepts, requirements, processes, interfaces, and risks while documenting impacts to MOD equities, priorities, and policies
  • Evaluate proposed system and schedule changes, especially those that happen late in the development cycle, and make recommendations on path forward
  • Review assigned program for high risk areas and recommend mitigation approaches
  • Recommend and implement new processes, standards, and/or tools that will (1) apply across all MOD programs and projects and (2) improve MOD’s ability to quickly make enterprise-level decisions
  • Help cultivate partnerships internal and external to MOD to achieve MOD objectives
  • Plan and facilitate meetings; drive discussion into action and decisions, help customers advocate for MOD systems and equities.


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

  • Minimum of a B.S. in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or equivalent, and nine years of related experience
  • 3+ years of customer experience in MOD and GED organizations, specifically with GEOINT mission systems
Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required along with an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design, to deployment and operational maintenance
  • Experience in operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testing
  • Direct experience with MOD site operations
  • Must possess strong project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of system engineering fundamentals
  • Proactive, organized, and self-motivated with good impeccable interpersonal skills
  • Polished communicator, technical topics readily understood by all stakeholders. Strong documentation skills, a superior technical writer.
