SAIC has an immediate opening on a fast-paced and mission oriented team for a Facility Engineer.  You will be responsible for creating facility segment requirement documents including gathering requirements from stakeholders, conducting trade studies to determine adequate locations, creating site survey checklists to ensure proper documentation of site conditions, and acting as the customer interface with various engineering disciplines such as MEP, Civil, Structural and Fire Protection. The Facility Engineer shall understand and ensure that appropriate building codes are incorporated within the design.  You will provide technical oversight of the A&E team for the customer and interface with various architects, engineers, construction teams, and other disciplines. You will also review building plan submissions and provide comments to the A&E team, as well as review electrical and HVAC system documentation to ensure the designs meet Customer requirements for facilities with high power and cooling requirements.


  • Current TS/SCI & Poly
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience providing professional engineering services in facility/building development, design, and construction with an emphasis on data center or other resource intensive facility developments and design
  • 14 years of overall engineering experience
  • License to practice Engineering in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia is highly desired.  Relevant experience may be considered instead.
