Description

SAIC is seeking a Software Tester to join our Web Management team at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command, while working from home. The Software Tester will be responsible for testing and evaluating software applications and systems to ensure quality.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual test scripts using MS TFS Test Manager as required.
  • Set up an Automated Test platform for the Soldier Management System, the HRC Public Facing website, and all supporting applications. 
  • Design / Execute Regression Tests for the Web Management team.
  • Verify specific action or function of code.
  • Document and version control all Regression Tests and Results in MS TFS.
  • Ensure that operational business processes definitions are documented correctly (consistent, traceable, and verifiable).
  • Document and version control all Regression Tests and Results in MS TFS.
  • Detect regression test failures and create bugs/issues in TFS as required.
  • Prepare Regression test reports.
  • Generate historical analysis of test results.
  • Verify specific action or function of code.
  • Participate in Sprint Planning sessions and daily standups
  • Work with the Business Analyst and Senior Developers to fully understand the requirements so that accurate test scripts can be created.
  • Support Information exchange within the Web Management team to promote a great working environment.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience. Four years of additional related experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with different functional and operational team technical representatives.
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated technical writing capabilities.
  • Experience using MS VS TFS Test Manager. 
  • Experience with other automated testing platforms desired.
  • US Citizen – No dual citizenship
  • Possess a SECRET clearance or have the ability to obtain one. Must have at least an interim SECRET to begin work on the contract. SAIC will assist the qualified candidate with the processing of this.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification required prior to start date. – SAIC will assist with this for the qualified candidate.
  • Computing Environment training or certification valid in ATCTS is required to meet IA requirements (Can be attained after starting work, SAIC will assist)
