Job Summary

Transportation Consulting Services Group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Special Systems Lead for immediate employment on Airport Projects. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with an exciting, challenging project. Additional responsibilities include:

The Special Systems Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of the design and construction of airport systems in the project. The candidate will facilitate meetings with client management, design team, contractors, and stakeholders. The candidate will monitor the projects schedule and budget and identify areas of concern and provide mitigation solutions when required. The candidate is required to provide contractor submittal reviews and respond to requests for information in coordination with stakeholders. The candidate will enforce project policies, maintain close client interface, and ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Solid project management and organization skills are required for success.

  • Provides oversight and management for multiple projects that are less complex and less sensitive in nature. For example, projects assigned would be smaller in scale and scope.

  • Without any supervision, is responsible for and oversees all components of an assigned program.

  • Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to makes recommendations.

  • Manages program resources.

  • Directs the work of a group of Project and/or Program Managers.

  • Influences, motivates and challenges others while adapting leadership styles to a variety of situations.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or AA/AS degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Diploma plus 10 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The candidate will be required to have a strong background in IT LAN/WAN, premise distribution cabling, access control, cctv, physical security, audio paging, fire alarm, P25 radio, common use passenger processing, electronic visual information displays, distributed antenna systems, Wi-Fi, VoIP, Bluetooth beacons, IPTV, master clock, MEP control cabling, aircraft visual docking and guidance control, and other airport related systems.

  • 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in systems including electrical, mechanical and building systems, ideally in Airports.
