Maintains, reviews, edits, organizes and verifies all Engineering briefs, project pages, documentation and Contract Deliverables for the Combined Tactical Training Ranges (CTTR) Engineering Team.
Writes, develops, and edits documents, captures and inputs engineering project data, updates project documentation, and maintains document control.
Develops document templates for Engineering deliverables
Attends Engineering meeting ensuring all meeting minutes are complete and accurately documented.
Develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, and technical and administrative publications with work methods and procedure for installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment in support of the CTTR.
Observes Engineering, Operations and Maintenance activities to develop procedures, and documents, and develops detailed work instructions.
Provides Configuration Management support for CTTR Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Teams.
Develops, implements, and maintains documentation in accordance with the Engineering Processes and Engineering and Configuration Management Plan.
Reviews Engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness throughout product development, and upon implementation of system additions and/or enhancements.
Reviews, reports, and confers with Engineering and Configuration Management on document configuration changes.
Provides recommendations to streamline processes, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering program.
Completes, and reports upon periodic record compliance reviews.
Oversees and maintains the Engineering Team's training records and documents.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Five or more years of experiance as a Technical Writer
Exceptional computer/data input skills using Adobe Acrobat & Microsoft Office Products; Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
Working Knowledgeable of Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Publication, Version Control and Filing Systems.
Ability to create and develop formal documentation for submittal to Navy Customer
Working knowledge of SharePoint Web Page Development
Strong communication and organizational skills
Speak, read, and write English required, with Superior English and Grammer Skills
Configuration Management, and Document Version Control Training
Quality Management and Safety Awareness Training
Possess a valid state issued driver's license.
Must be a US citizen
Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Associates degree or higher in technical writing field, or related discipline
Advanced college-level technical writing courses
Experience with Microsoft Visio, and/or AutoCAD
High level of experience with SharePoint Web Design
