Job Summary

We are seeking degree qualified civil engineering professionals to work “client-side” on TMR and Council road construction projects. Joining our well-established team, these roles will see you providing construction administration and verification services (CAVS) within a larger team, reporting to AECOM’s Contract Administrator.

AECOM’s Project & Construction Management team provides clients with a full project delivery capability taking projects from tender through construction. Site based teams include inspectors, civil engineers, independent quality verifiers, contract administrators and document controllers. The team manages all aspects of the construction contract ensuring quality outcomes for clients.

Specific duties for this role include:

  • Work with the Contract Administrator’s Representative and Construction Verifier to assist in the management of the key elements of the construction contract, contributing to the delivery of the project on time, in budget and in accordance with the project’s quality requirements;

  • Monitor construction progress, identify potential problems and review corrective actions to achieve the planned outcomes;

  • Evaluate project risks and propose proactive strategies to mitigate these;

  • Review and monitor construction quality processes. In particular, work closely with the construction contractor to compile quality data, including inspection and test plans, as constructed records, test results and hold point sign-offs to review whether the completed work achieves the minimum quality standards.

  • Review of drawings, technical specifications and tender schedules and provide technical inputs to the team;

  • Provide input and advice based on site records to enable the team to respond to contract issues;

  • Follow and implement AECOM project management systems, policies and procedures; and

  • Contribute to a safe work practices and AECOM’s safety culture.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 - 10 years’ experience in civil construction (road, rail, subdivisions, bulk earthworks, etc);

  • Some construction experience is essential, however, the role is supported by senior AECOM staff on site providing an excellent learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering – essential;

  • TMR B2 prequalification OR the above minimum levels of construction experience to enable AECOM to obtain prequalification for you.
