General Overview

The Vice President of Finance will act as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Government Solutions International covering the geographies of EMEA and APAC. This person will have oversight and control of the organisation’s finances and financial reporting. The incumbent will provide financial management, information, and guidance to the Business Unit President and his senior leadership team. The incumbent will oversee all financial functions including revenue cycle, accounting, accounts payable, account receivable, payroll, budgeting, cash flow, analysis and decision support, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.

An articulate communicator, the incumbent is expected to develop productive relationships through professional collaboration with colleagues and key stakeholders across all business functions. The role will design and implement process improvements across the entire business unit to improve and sustain integrity in accounting and reporting, strong internal control, operational consistency, maximized cash flow generation, and compliance work streams.

Capabilities and Qualities

We are seeking an executive leader who has excellent senior leadership experience, gained across multiple areas of relevance to the portfolio of our projects and clients, combined with a proven ability to deliver change within multi-faceted environments of genuine complexity. A key member of both the corporate finance and business unit senior leadership team, they will have the financial technical skills, cross-functional business processes, as well as a commercial mindset to support the Business Unit President and EVP Finance.

Having the intellectual acuity and emotional intelligence to engage effectively with the broad range of internal and external stakeholders inherent in an internationally complex business environment, will be essential. A motivational leader you will be able to develop a competent organisation, provide leadership, personnel development and build a focused team throughout the business to support the operational business.

Qualifications

Essential :

  • ACCA,ACA, CPA and/ or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field from an accredited college or university.

Desirable:

  • Master’s Degree is Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • A committed leader with ability to implement disciplined business process improvements across all functions and operations
  • Established financial analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient interpersonal skills, managing up and down; developed mentorship and development skills
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and also successful experience in cash flow, tax, and financial planning management
  • U.S. SOX 404 experience and Internal Controls leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as financial modelling in Excel
  • Practical experience leading F&A in a project-based organisation
  • Senior Accounting Officer for HMRC purposes
  • Previous experience of overseeing statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience in Government business
  • UK DB and DC pension plan knowledge

Desirable:

  • ERP Systems implementation and governance
  • Financial Reporting and Planning with HFM

Other:

  • Ability to travel to deliver leadership, site visits to our portfolio of projects across sites within the UK, USA, EMEA and APAC (including Australia)
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearances in the UK
