JOB DESCRIPTION


SAIC is seeking a program management coordinator to work side by side with senior program and project managers and executive leadership at NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) to provide program coordination (focused around project performance, issues, schedules, and tasking) and stakeholder management to the foundational programs and the Portfolio Analysis Management Office. Our team ensures the ARMD programs and portfolios are successfully managed to contribute to accomplishment of NASA goals and ARMD research.




This is a funded position and candidate can start immediately.

Coordinators are responsible for the day-to-day operations and coordinate the knowledge management efforts for ARMD ensuring that programmatic information and documentation is accurate, timely, and available; supporting project management and coordination for multiple activities and providing support for stakeholder meetings and functions to advance program goals and objectives. 


This role does require occasional travel. Travel will require 2 to 3 trips a year. With each trip lasting between 1 and 3 days. 


This role is currently 100% remote due to COVID-19. There is potential that this role will continue to have the ability to perform some remote work after government buildings have re-opened and returned to normal operating procedures. 


Typical tasks include:

  • Conduct daily meeting planning and facilitate logistical support for all stakeholder engagements and activities
  • Develop presentations, documentation, and integrated milestone charts for use by program leadership
  • Coordinate planning and facilitate execution of reviews, meetings, workshops, activities, and stakeholder engagements
  • Support development, documentation, and configuration management (CM) of program output and manage reporting, information tracking, and dissemination
  • Coordinate with the ARMD Knowledge/IT Manager to align knowledge management efforts across the programs and PAMO
  • Maintain and catalog reports, technical plans, task plans, milestone schedules, budgetary documents
  • Update Office SharePoint for ARMD with appropriate information

Shall possess demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint, and general teleconferencing and web conferencing support activities.

Candidates should be familiar with government consulting and have experience working in an office environment.  They should be self-motivated and capable of working independently but also be able to function in team environments with shared responsibilities. 


Required Education and Experience:


Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; and a basic understanding of program and project management



Must be a US Citizen.

Must be able to pass a NASA specific background check

Desired Skills:

PMP certification or in progress
Experience with Aviation, NASA or Aeronautics
