Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Batch Plant Inspector to be based in our Chattanooga, Tennessee location.

Role/Responsibility:

  • Monitor batching operations

  • Conduct concrete sampling and testing

  • Observe aggregate, cement, and other concrete material deliveries

  • Collect concrete material(s) samples

  • Conduct batch plant audits and surveillance

  • Conduct laboratory testing, when required

Must be able to:

  • Climb ladders and stairs in order to inspect the batch plant

  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs

  • Read and understand concrete batch tickets

  • Have an understanding of concrete materials and admixtures

  • Have an understanding of concrete batch plant operations

  • Communicate well with team members

  • Handle multiple tasks at one time

Minimum Requirements

  • HS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Certifications required:

  • ACI Field Technician Grade 1

  • ACI Laboratory Technician Grade 1

Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineering Experience.
