Depot Support Manager

KBR is seeking a dedicated, mission oriented, and experienced Depot Support Manager to oversee services, repairs, and remanufacture of equipment and machinery for a large, complex technical government program in our Military Space Operating Unit.

The Depot Support Manager provides direction and oversight for program maintenance and repair teams. They develop strategies for maintenance efficiencies, processes to ensure compliance with equipment related government regulations and technical training for employees, as well as coordinate equipment refurbishment and upgrades. The Depot Support Manager calculates future workloads and plans manpower needs to meet maintenance requirements. They are responsible for assigning, scheduling, and managing department personnel at multiple locations to optimize team effectiveness.

This position is located in Milton, FL.


  • Establishes and monitors maintenance support objectives, work plans, schedules, budgets, standard procedures and metrics to ensure resources are available for completion of tasks and assignments
  • Leads the long-term planning and develops strategic operating initiatives for the program.
  • Establishes professional rapport and interacts with the customer on significant issues/ problems needing technical guidance, redirection and resolution
  • Performs troubleshooting and develops plans of action for maintenance activities
  • Ensures the all maintenance data is maintained online with latest repair actions and status
  • Ensures accurate and timely Deficiency Processing actions and tracking from initial assignment to closure
  • Provides timely status, briefings, and metrics to support senior level meetings and reviews
  • Participates in responding to Requests for Proposals, as required


  • Minimum of 10 years of field engineering experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility and management or supervisory experience.
  • BS Engineering or Related Field. In lieu of formal education, 12 years of directly related experience.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred


  • Demonstrated understanding of full engineering lifecycle and system support including maintenance/repair analysis, support equipment, technical data requirements, business and logistics systems interfaces; experience in a government environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to stand up repair capability and develop metrics to measure effectiveness
  • Capability to manage and control budgets while delivering quality products/services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse customers and teams
  • Demonstrates the ability to build strong customer and team relationships
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment and assume multiple responsibilities
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and Maximo or similar equipment maintenance system
  • Willing to travel (15-20%) CONUS/OCONUS

Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret clearance; Top Secret clearance preferred.
