Supply Chain Manager

KBR is seeking a dedicated, mission oriented, and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the acquisition of supply items and inventory management for a large, complex technical government program in our Space, Missile, and Aviation Systems operating group.

This position will be located in Milton, FL.

This person analyzes complex contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements. Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. Identifies, prioritizes, and assesses key logistics assets and infrastructures. Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times. They are the primary customer contact for supply chain activities and collaborate with senior management, customers, governmental agencies, regulators or vendors to influence decisions.


  • Provides oversight of property/inventory management and control, supply disciplines, and logistical support processes and personnel.
  • Organizes, develops, and maintains competent supply chain staff through effective hiring, training, communication, and supervision.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, plans salary actions, recommends hires and promotions. Interprets and applies organization policies.
  • Mentors and advises teams on highly visible multi-disciplinary projects or initiatives; provides thought leadership.
  • Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions.
  • Plans and schedules staffing, cross-training, process improvements, and cost savings initiatives
  • Ensures that supply chain personnel thoroughly review and fully comprehend contractual requirements and function in compliance with requirements.
  • Ensures that data and documentation released by supply chain activities is accurate and in accordance contract deliverable requirements.
  • Participates in responding to Request for Proposals, as required


  • Minimum of 10 years supply chain or logistics experience with 4years management and/or supervisory responsibilities; experience with Government supply and logistics systems preferred
  • BS in Engineering or related field. In lieu of formal education, 12 years of directly related experience.
  • NPMA and Six Sigma certification preferred


  • Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of supply chain including warehousing, inventory control, logistics, and transportation management
  • Capability to manage and control budgets while delivering quality products/services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse customers and teams
  • Demonstrates the ability to build strong customer and team relationships
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment and assume multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and Costpoint or similar MRP system
  • Familiar with IUID registry, DPAS a plus
  • Willing to travel (10%) CONUS/OCONUS

Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret clearance; Top Secret clearance preferred.
