KBR is seeking a Ground Systems Equipment Servicer to support Wallops Flight Facility.

This is a Union position all hires will be obligated to join the IAMAW Union


  • Assist in modifying, testing and replacing subsystem components as necessary to ensure operability and maintainability while meeting or exceeding all system performance specification requirements. Systems include high pressure, cryogenic, hypergolic decontamination, and mechanical and electrical range systems.
  • Identify and implement changes to the ground systems that will result in operations or maintenance cost savings. Maintain configuration management.
  • Become an integrated member of a multidisciplinary installation design team responsible for safe installation of range vehicle and spacecraft processing systems.
  • Provide for the implementation, integration, test and transfer into operations of range systems.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Participate in procedure and user guide development for newly installed systems beginning with review for clarity and evolving to technical critique.
  • Must be willing to attend formal training as needed to pursue required certifications
  • Must be willing and physically able to perform the aforementioned tasks
  • Manage maintenance programs for vehicles and equipment
  • Perform fleet management of ground support equipment including heavy equipment, vehicles, forklifts, man lifts, etc.
  • Perform corrosion control operations including sandblasting, metalizing, welding, and painting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service.
  • Job position may be flexible based on previous experience.
  • Safety and quality awareness and compliance are required. Shift work may be required. Assignments may change or vary.

Required Education / Licenses:

  • High School diploma and two years technical education
  • Or Associates Degree Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Or Military equivalent
  • Or related Vocational School Certificate.

Preferred License:

  • Be able to hold and maintain a valid CDL would be preferred
