Overview
FTI is seeking an Enterprise Database & Reporting Architect to join our corporate IT team located in Dayton, OH. As the Enterprise Database & Reporting Architect, you will be the primary subject matter expert on all database administration, knowledge management, and data analytics for the company.
This is a unique position in which the individual will utilize their technical skills to source, extract and manipulate critical data and provide it to the business leaders that will utilize the information to make critical business decisions.
This individual will be responsible for playing a key role in the new implementation of a corporate accounting and finance ERP system. This person will have the opportunity to help build and shape the systems, processes and tools used to provide best in class capabilities and be the liaison between both the technical and finance teams.
Responsibilities
Support, administer, optimize and maintain SQL Server database environments running on Windows platforms
Knowledge management of enterprise financial systems and business systems
Design and develop efficient reports for various business groups using SQL report writing, scripting, and automation
Has a strong grasp of system concepts related to interoperability and system dependencies
Understands HW platforms and SW integration, storage and operating systems
Collaborates effectively across teams, organizations, and management levels
Develops SQL queries to extract, manipulate and/or calculate information to fulfill data and reporting requirements
Acquire data from multiple data sources and data systems
Develop, modify, maintain and support custom reports (Microsoft SQL Reporting Services)
Forecasting and planning tools assistance (ie: Cognos, TM1, Vena)
Develop reports, dashboards, and other outputs according to required specifications
Develop KPIs and dynamic charting from various data sources
Design Workflow process integration to automate business processes
Understanding schema and dimension options beyond relational to include such techniques as star, cubes and other options to support best hosting options
Working knowledge Microsoft SQL server query ODBC and ODBC data extraction
Education/Qualifications
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field from accredited college is required.
10+ years corporate enterprise Database & Reporting Architect experience
5+ years of experience with Deltek Software (CostPoint, T&E)
Production SQL Server and SharePoint experience
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL to include development of SQL queries, views, functions, and tables
Experience developing and maintaining automation (scripting, jobs, etc)
Technical knowledge of and experience with installing, upgrading, configuring and deploying multi-tier applications
Developing reports using Cognos and/or SSRS is essential
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
Experience designing and implementing High Availability (HA) configurations
Experience working with file systems that are hosted in a SAN environment
Understanding schema options beyond relational to include Data Warehouse and ETL
Windows Server administration and associated operating system technologies
Working knowledge of database backup and recovery infrastructure and techniques
