Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager to join our team in the Chantilly, VA, location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs as a project lead, with responsibilities for project cost, schedule and performance. 
  • Directly contributes to project definition, development and/or enhancement efforts including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensures proper performance of tasks necessary to achieve the most efficient and effective execution of the project objectives.
  • Utilizes expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents. 
  • Communicates status with leadership and customers.  
  • Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.  
  • Answers technical questions regarding products and services, and may take part in putting together proposals, configurations and product offerings. 
  • Considered a Lead and may manage the work of others. 
  • Lead and/or support the following activities:
    • Allocate resources (staffing, facilities, and budgets) on the contract
    • Review and approve all earned value, Estimate-To-Complete, Funds and Man-hour Expenditure Report, or other financial reports as appropriate
    • Review and propose the Integrated Project Baseline (or resource loaded schedule)
    • Review risk and risk mitigation activities and allocate budgets for the same
    • Prepare Project status reviews and other formal reviews to be presented to the Government
    • Ensure the timely recruitment and training of Project staff - both direct and indirect
    • Review all financial and technical reports before release to the Government
    • Communicate issues and solutions to the Government PM in a timely and transparent manner
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements imposed by the contract in coordination with the Contractor's contracts staff
    • Assist the ManTech PM by providing input to statutory acquisition reports
    • Coordinate the preparation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Unsolicited Proposals (UPs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and value engineering proposals to the Government
    • Provide Contractor technical project input to the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan reviews or Award Fee reviews, as appropriate
    • Communicate issues and solutions to the broader ManTech program management structure as requested by senior leaders
    • Rapidly assemble and execute focused cross-disciplinary Government/Contractor teams to address urgent or unexpected cost, schedule, or technical Project/contract issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: B.S. or relevant experience in Program Management.
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience as a Project or program manager in leading projects and contracts of similar technical scope, type, and complexity is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment is required.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in conducting technical project requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting.
  • PMP preferred
  • Must possess or able to obtain TS/SCI w/ Poly prior to on-boarding

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or other PMI certification
  • Experience using Microsoft Scheduling

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess or able to obtain TS/SCI w/ Poly prior to on-boarding

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
