Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Civil Manager to join our Transportation Business Line in our Mechanicsburg, PA office. This position will oversee roadway design technical work, monitor staffing and provide business development assistance. The responsibilities include but are not limited too;

  • Oversee hiring, monitor staffing and conduct performance evaluations;

  • Lead the staff by offering technical guidance;

  • Mentor staff to facilitate career development;

  • Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, report on project status, and deliver design on schedule and within budget;

  • Coordinate design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers;

  • Lead, monitor and review design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, construction cost estimates, construction drawings and specifications;

  • Develop scopes of work and price proposals;

  • Verify software usage for efficient design and coordination; and

  • Enhance client relationships.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS plus 8 years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PennDOT, the PA Turnpike and other transportation agencies is highly desired with 10 years experience.
