Position Summary / Responsibilities:

SAIC is seeking a Senior Security Architect (SSA) to help design and solution a commercial, state-of-the-art security solution for a DoD customer.  The SSA will possess subject matter expertise across all IAM topics for cloud enterprise technologies.  The ideal candidate will innovate with cost effective and proven solutions to complex, global IAM challenges.  With extensive past experience with various security protocols, frameworks and standards, the SSA will work independently to identify innovative architecture that enables efficacies from complementary technologies in a secure infrastructure and environment.  The SSA will work closely with other engineers and product owners to advise overall technical performance while serving as the technical advisor for all product development. The SSA will work with other leaders on the program to foster an integrated approach in delivering a cohesive, enterprise solution that delivers above and beyond the customer requirement.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of cloud-native, secure architectures 
Serve as the SME on all IAM and cloud security related items, technical reviews, or solutions
Define and implement IAM policies and strategies for the enterprise solution
Drive authentication and authorization reference architectures for as-is, to-be and emerging IAM technologies
Developing and implementing S/W application security, data protection, cryptography, key management, IAM and N/W security within As-a-Service cloud environments
Align program and corporate best practices in accordance with DoD and industry security best practices
Represents program on all enterprise security subject areas in designing and implementing cloud architectures
Collaborate with CTO to align security requirements to program technical roadmap 
Conduct threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies
Introduce emerging security platforms or technologies and frameworks to program leadership and product teams
Work with internal stakeholders to identify interdependencies and develop mitigation strategies for potential risks and issues
Help socialize the EUS IAM solution with customer and external LOEs
Support capture efforts in developing COAs, potentials solutions and technical cost estimates


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience (8 years of experience with a Master's Degree) supporting large digital transformation efforts or service management systems or IT integration efforts such as NaaS, PaaS or ITaaS efforts.  An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
3-5 years direct information security experience 
Proven experience architecting IAM solutions ($50M + annual contract value) within Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware or similar cloud platforms
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with IAM protocols (SAML, SPML, XACML, etc)
Strong familiarity with Directories, SSO, Federation, Delegated administration, API gateways, SOA services
Experience developing and implementing S/W application security, data protection, cryptography, key management, IAM and N/W security within As-a-Service cloud environments
Experience with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs)
US Citizen
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance


Expert level experience in Cloud Authentication and Access Management
DoD cloud experience
