SAIC is looking for a
candidate with Cost Analysis/Cost Estimator experience to support the Program
Executive Office for Littoral Ships (PEO LCS) at the Washington Navy Yard. Work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. Job
As a Cost Analysis/Cost Estimator, you’ll be responsible for translating requirements into cost through data collection, model building, and cost or risk analysis. You’ll help develop recommendations that will impact how dollars are invested throughout the project’s life cycle.
You’ll help identify cost data to be collected, develop data collection plans, and review draft work breakdown structures (WBSs) and cost reporting plans.
You will work closely with SMEs, engineers, and project managers to extract data about the technology and performance of submarine communications systems and undersea integration systems.
You will use a variety of data science techniques, like normalizing data, performing statistical regression, and using learning curve analysis.
From modeling with dynamic formulas in Excel to quantifying cost uncertainty with Monte Carlo discrete event simulation, you’ll use your experience in analytics and data visualization to interpret and convey meaning.
By developing total ownership cost estimates, you’ll help program managers, senior leadership, and your client plan and field systems on-time.
BA or BS degree and 2+ years of experience with defense cost estimating; or six (6) years of related experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Experience with data collection and analysis.
Experience with statistical regression analysis and probabilities.
Experience with discrete event simulation, including Monte Carlo simulation.
Experience with DoD acquisition and supporting major milestones.
Experience with the manufacturing process flow.
Experience with supply chain management and logistics.
Experience with management and business development.
Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision.
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
BA or BS degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Economics
International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE/A) Certification.
