Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Design Project Controls Specialist to join our surface transportation/roadway design group for our New England team. This is not a construction position. Qualified applicants will have experience in MBTA, (MassDOT, Massport, Boston a plus) project systems, invoicing, scheduling, contract set up, and tracking. This position requires a strong knowledge of MBTA systems, departments, and personnel. The successful candidate will become a Deputy Design PM on various MBTA/DOT design projects reporting to the Project Manager and assisting with control of the design project.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists Project Manager in set-up, tracking and managing project schedules, financials and reporting

  • Tracks tasks for budget and schedule adherence, drafts design amendments and prepares invoices

  • Resolve scheduling, and project design budget issues

  • Interface with project management

  • Provide support in reconciliation of impacts of proposed design changes-of-scope, schedule, and cost

  • Prepare complex reports and project metrics based on Project Manager needs

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS plus 2 years or more of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
