Job Responsibilities:
Trace Systems is actively recruiting for an Integration Lead Engineer (Lab Manager) to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.

The role of Integration Lead Engineer (Lab Manager) with a Microsoft Windows/Virtualization focus is responsible for the management network and lab environment consisting of workstations, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, security devices, and communications devices.

This position will be responsible for managing Microsoft Windows servers operating in a virtual environment including packaging, deployment scripting and testing, shell scripting, and tier 3 technical issue resolution.
This includes verifying system security and Information Assurance (IA) posture and Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) compliance of systems used in the lab and for the project in a complex environment with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with Department of Defense (DoD) Command and Control (C2) systems.
The position also supports the deployment of virtual Microsoft Windows desktops through VMware Horizon technology.
Additional responsibilities could include special projects and participation in operating system security and strategy development.

Daily Job Responsibilities:

Provide system administration and engineering support focusing on the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of lab services.
Design, install, provision, configure, optimize, tune performance, integrate, and administer various solution technologies in a lab environment.
Comply with all applicable security and IA policies and directives
The Systems Engineer (Lab Manager) position (Microsoft Windows focus) is responsible for the management network and lab environment consisting of workstations, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, security devices, and communications devices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Eight (8) years direct experience with DoD/Military/Agency projects supporting IT networks in the last 10 years
Required skills include proficiency in use of MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel for delivery of technical documentation and presentations.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified
Technical cert - Microsoft/OS, VMware, CCNA, Juniper, or SolarWinds cert
Position requires an active, in-scope US Government issued Secret/SSBI clearance

Desired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and over nine years of experience with Microsoft Windows.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Network Engineering, Math) Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
