Chief Process Advisor - FCC

Job Responsibilities

As the Chief Process Advisor for FCC Technologies, this senior level process position in KBR Refining Technology Team will be responsible for creating and implementing valuable innovations in KBR’s Fluidized Catalytic Cracking technology for use in the traditional refinery aspects, but also as it relates to KBR’s propane dehydration technology, K-PRO, and KBR’s Olefin cracking technology, K-COT. This position will work closely with KBR’s Technology leaders in Refining and Petrochemicals as well as research facilities. This position will drive development and design teams to progress theoretical solutions into practical commercially marketable applications. Candidates must show a work history demonstrating a steady progression towards increased responsibility in their roles.


  • Technical degree is required with a minimum of fifteen (15) years' of experience in refining or petrochemical operations with a strong focus on Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Technology and Operations.
  • Proven success of technical leadership in commercialization of FCC design applications.
  • FCC on-site field operational experience is also preferred.
  • A strong understanding of modeling FCC simulation tools is required.
  • Experience in FCC catalyst development and FCC Catalyst Testing considered a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills are required.
  • Refinery operations are preferred.
  • Backgrounds in technology and engineering assignments as well as Being fluent in multiple languages is also a plus but not required.
  • Candidate must willing to travel 30% of time.
  • There is no requirement on candidate location however North American location is preferred.
  • Candidate must be allowed to travel to United States.
