We are actively seeking experienced construction inspection staff at multiple levels for our growing practice in the Hudson Valley Region of NY state. This opportunity is for projects located in the following counties: Columbia, Dutchess,Orange,Putnam,Rockland, UlsterandWestchester. Clients served in this area include the New York State Department of Transportation, New York State Thruway Authority, and other state and municipal government entities.
Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited too;
Construction Inspection Services performed will ensure that the work of the Contractor conforms to the provisions of the contract documents. Services to be performed include: detailed inspections, on-site field testing of materials & other construction activities as necessary, including field measurement & collection of data necessary to submit monthly & final estimates and progress reports, and preparation of record plans showing all changes from the contract plans. All records shall be kept in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Record Keeping (MURK) including Site Manager and EBO. The successful candidate will be proactive toward achievement of timely construction completion and will monitor contract progress by evaluating the adequacy of the Contractor's personnel and equipment including the availability of necessary materials and supplies. Assignments may vary in duration and the number of inspectors per construction contract. Inspectors may be required to work nights and/or weekends. The successful candidate may also be asked to provide Construction Management, Construction Quality Control Oversight and Quality Assurance Oversight staff on Design-Build contracts.
Typical project assignments may include:
Bridge Replacement/Rehabilitation including substructures and superstructure repairs to/replace of various bridge components
Highway reconstruction projects including earthwork, drainage, pavement construction, etc.
Repair and/or replace of appurtenances including guiderail, traffic signals, ITS equipment, etc.

HS Diploma or equivalent
NICET certification or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications as well as familiarity with heavy highway/bridge and associated reconstruction projects.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I, NETTCP Soils and Aggregate Inspector Certification , OSHA 10-Hour Safety Training, NACE Certified Coating Inspector or SSPC equivalent, and Formal MPT or WZTC Training.
