Job Summary

Our Rocky Hill, CT office has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer who is ready take their career to the next level and join a high-performing team while developing the leaders of tomorrow.

Each day, you’ll be hands-on, collaborating with some of the area’s most respected clients to develop solutions to their most challenging water and wastewater engineering needs. You will have the opportunity to lead technical design with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in offices across the region.

Amongst other things, you will:

  • Interface with clients and regulatory agencies during design and construction activities.

  • Play a major role on presentations to existing or potential clients as well as regulators

  • Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

  • Handle construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs, change orders and other construction documents

  • Work on small to large projects as a team with other disciplines

  • Plan and prepare, or review, technical specifications and other procurement and contract documents

  • Supervise, mentor and provide support for entry level engineering staff and Resident Engineering staff

  • Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts.

  • Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited in Civil or Environmental engineering or other related field.

  • 8+ years of directly related experience.

  • Professional Engineer license in Connecticut, or the ability to gain it via reciprocity within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering with an emphasis in water/waste water or other related field required

  • Experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and other detailed engineering deliverables. Excellent communication skills and the ability to be client-facing.

  • Exceptional technical skills and experience working on water/wastewater/drainage/water resources projects

  • Strong commitment to ensuring safe project execution

  • Client focused service perspective

  • Strong presentation skills
