Title:

Networking Systems Administrator

Responsibe for the administration of one or more of the following data systems: Computer systems hardware, software, information systems & peripheral equipments such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices. Maintains, installs, upgrades and configures data systems, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience.

KBR is seeking to hire a Sr. System Administrator to provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This Candidate will be responsible for the duties below:

  • Providessupport to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to appropriate team members.
  • Provides support for hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configures and manages Linuxand Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity andconfigures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability andperformance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Two (2) of relevant professional experience
  • Clearance Requirement: US Citizen Active Secret clearance and SSBI
