ABOUT THIS POSITION

KBR is seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM) to lead the Research and Development (R&D) Programs in Dayton, OH. This full-time position will lead a team of ~100 employees and manage a portfolio of projects supporting Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and AF Institute of Technology (AFIT). This position will report directly to the AF Programs OU Director.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, manage and aggressively grow P&L with approximately $40M in revenue
  • Be responsible for the formulation, implementation and assessment of the AFRL growth strategy
  • Develop, execute, & oversee strategies that, in keeping with larger KBR goals, ensure AF Operating Unit maintains and grows its competitive advantage relative to the competitive landscape.
  • Expand KBR’s footprint by winning new business with key strategic markets
  • Maintain contractual and programmatic oversight of all projects within the R&D portfolio. Provide status on a timely basis for all major projects as required.
  • Identify and pursue new work and new customers. Coordinate the business development activities of operations to ensure continued profitable revenue.

Required Education, Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Management / Systems Engineering / Test and Evaluation or a relevant technical discipline is required.
  • DoD Clearance Requirement: Secret
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge with at least 15 years of experience within the DoD Acquisition community.
  • Demonstrated recent experience leading contractor teams
  • Recent Experience supporting a diverse set of DoD customers within the AF Research Laboratory (AFRL).
  • Recent experience with DTIC contracts
  • Effective oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry participant networks are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience Capturing new work and leading Proposal opportunities
  • Prior supervisory experience mandatory
  • DoD acquisition experience required to include ACAT 1 program experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level III.
  • DoD Clearance Requirement: Top Secret SCI Eligible
