Description

SAIC is seeking experienced personnel for a contingent position with the DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Operations Support Directorate (OSD) program to provide administrative, programmatic, training and exercise, medical operations, and information coordination services to in order to enhance the nation’s abilities to prevent terrorists and other threat actors from using weapons of mass destruction and support operational partners in closing capability gaps along adversary pathways. 

Responsibilities: Desktop Publishing or similar type software, test reports and related documents, experience with test programs and data collection, analysis, and reporting, familiarity with systems architectures as used in large communications systems, development and drafting of senior level presentations, technical reviews of other systems engineering deliverables and products.

At SAIC the Senior Technical Writer/Editor:
Writes and updates material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance. Refines work of writers, and heads and coordinates activities of writers engaged in preparing technical, scientific, medical, or other material for publication in conjunction with or independent from manufacturing, research, and related activities. 

Employees may be authorized to telework in support of this effort.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
BA/BS or Ma/MS degree, or equivalent.
At least 7 years of experience.
Must have at minimum, an active Secret clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.

DESIRED:
Travel may be required.
Prior DHS contractor fitness (suitability) authorization determination. 
Prior DHS experience including any DHS components or HQ Directorates, especially DHS CWMD.
