Description

The Records Management Task Lead will provide leadership and management for the contract personnel assigned to the Records Management task area.  The Records Management Task Lead will manage the USCENTCOM's electronic records analysis and support to the Command in organizing and managing the digital collection for preservation purposes

 
Specifically, manage the team that will:
  • Provide leadership and management for the contract personnel assigned to the Records Management task area.

  • Process Command records into the ERMA and report status on a monthly basis.

  • Increase the ability to search for, collect, preserve, and analyze records that are responsive to Joint Staff, Litigation and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. 

  • Prepare scanned records for destruction.
  • Follow Joint Staff and USCENTCOM Command Records management policies and procedures.

  • Operates computer systems, scanners and other devices, telephone, standard office equipment and printer/scanner.

  • Conducts records retrieval functions.
  • Conduct systems management for Publications and Forms systems processes within USCENTCOM.

  • Monitor and review the publications index and coordinate/consolidate inputs to determine publications and forms for rescinding, revision or maintaining as currently essential.

  • Review, analyze and process draft publications to identify errors as publications are written by action Officers.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience: OR, High school equivalent and 9+ years of experience.

  • Active Secret clearance is required.  Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

  • Must have a minimum of five years of progressive functional experience related to the areas described above.  Most recent functional experience must have occurred between 2010 and present.

  • Basic experience as a Task Lead; OR, degree in History, Information Science, Library Science, Military (Information Management).   

  • Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must possess and maintain current U.S. passport.

     
 
Preferred Certifications:
 
  • National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) certification

  • Experience with utilization of Content Manager and Control Point software is helpful.
