SAIC is seeking a Wireless Technician to support a large federal government agency. Employee will perform on-site, at a secure government location Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional off-hour, weekend and holiday support may be required during scheduled and un-scheduled events.


Description of Duties:

  • Monitor work order ticketing system for assignments.
  • Respond to and resolve tickets related to mobile and remote services.
  • Configure, test, troubleshoot, deploy and issue mobile devices.
  • Monitor, track, analyze and respond to mobile system alerts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system outages. Interface and coordinate with other service offices and support elements as appropriate.
  • Document work activities and escalate to operations manager, shift leads and engineers as necessary.

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:

  • Ability to focus on ticket and monitoring systems for sustained periods.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Self-motivated problem solver possessing effective troubleshooting skills as it relates to IT systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience working directly with customers including VIPs.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and quick turnaround deliverables.
  • Basic knowledge of mobile device platforms (iOS, Android, Blackberry).

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience with BMC Remedy.
  • Experience with mobile and remote access devices
  • Certification in relevant IT products and technologies.


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years related experience; Or, High School and five (5) years related experience with relevant certification.
