Job Summary

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Minimum Requirements

Job Duties

  • Responsible for construction supervision of major / minor bridges.

  • Review the all method statement submitted by the contractor.

  • Checking the Bridge alignment & level.

  • Checking the Piling, Pile cap, Pier erection activities.

  • Witnessing all the testing activities viz pile integrity test, Pile initial, routine load test,

  • Witnessing all material test viz Cube test, Elastomeric, Pot Bearings,

  • Checking the Erection of ‘I’ Girder activities.

  • Checking the Gantry launching, load test, safety procedures.

  • Checking the Segment lifting, dry matching, gluing, and activates.

  • Checking the Stressing Calculation, deflection on each span and stressing operation.

  • Checking the Grouting operations.


  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution

  • 2 years for Degree holder and 5 years for Diploma holder

  • Construction of Earth work/ bridges/buildings in Railway/ Road/Irrigation works for at least 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications


  • The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Bridge Design.
