Fault Management Lead

Position: Fault Management Lead, working for the RSGS Systems Engineering Lead

  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Gathering, interpreting, and organizing Payload fault information from many sources (Payload and component FMECA’s, faults and associated triggers)
  • Using that information to define the Payload fault strategy and needed flight and ground software logic
  • Capturing the implementation of the RSGS Fault Management Design and Operational Procedures
  • Testing of the RSGS Fault Management Design and logic on various test platforms
  • Authoring the associated Payload fault management documentation, including:
  • Fault Management and Response Document
  • Fault Test Plan, Procedure, and Report


  • Minimum BSEE, BSME, or BSAE required
  • Minimum 10 years experience in space systems field


  • The incumbent will need to be versatile in hardware and software robotic systems, including programming and scripting, in leading the RSGS Fault Management Effort
  • Fluency in MATLAB / Simulink, Gazebo, Linux, Windows, Excel, C, javascript, Python, or other scripting languages is desired
  • Experience in Fault Tolerant and Autonomous Systems is desired
  • Experience in Testing and Validating Robotic Systems is desired
  • Experience in Software Modeling of systems and hardware is desired.
  • Active secret level clearance strongly desired
