Manager, Quality Assurance

As a condition of employment, you are subject to temporary duties assigned by KBR to support emergency, disaster relief, or other contingency type missions within the United States. These missions will be temporary, and you will return to the permanent duty position at the National Training Center .

Seeking a skilled Quality Manager whose technical expertise and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems will support the LOGCAP Quality Program mission. Candidate will optimize project execution by ensuring services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of maintenance operations within a government training environment. Candidate will:

  • Identify, prioritize, document, and assess customer quality requirements to ensure consistent understanding and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, document, and measure relevant quality level requirements to ensure that the delivered products and/or services meet the customer’s needs.
  • Confirm high-quality work is produced the first time, by performing independent and objective assessments of work products of any maintenance level.
  • Integrate quality disciplines within equipment maintenance management systems.
  • Implement quality assurance and control procedures of during maintenance operations.
  • Assure safe and reliable repairs and services are performed on all equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage the quality management program and lead the improvement of the customer journey by developing and employing quality oversight techniques, quality training, statistical methods, assessments and other quality tools.
  • Ensure that work condition requirements are met by leading audit/inspection reports and making recommendations/presentations to management for corrective/preventive and continuous improvement actions.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve the safety, reliability and maintainability of product systems and services.
  • Assess and validate contractually required standards for project execution while verifying that standards are met for every deliverable.
  • Align quality management function with product/service performance needs to ensure that product/service lines deliver value to customers.
  • Facilitate, analyze and solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and value-added practices.
  • Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes while mentoring Quality and Project team members on the same
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members across all levels of the project, as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years quality supervisor/manager or equivalent experience (industry specific experience is a plus)
  • Certifications are an advantage including ASQ, Lean and Six Sigma, Project Management, etc.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of corrective and preventive action, audit and continuous improvement programs
  • In-depth knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality and Project Management
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint)
