Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior People Relations Manager in Atlanta, GA.

The Senior People Relations Manager will partner with business leaders to ensure HR processes and initiatives are in place to support and drive business objectives.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with all groups within the HR function, translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Provide strategic, on-time, HR advice and support to the business

  • Coach business leaders on effective team building, change management and organizational effectiveness

  • Partner with HR Business Leaders and Centres of Excellence to effectively implement programs focused on enabling an engaged workforce (i.e., Inclusion and Diversity, career planning, performance & rewards, workforce planning)

  • Provide sound consultation, guidance and support in all matters related to employee relations including performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations and all other application of local policies, work rules, procedures and applicable law

  • Manage employee relations health assessment program and resulting risk-based action plans

  • Promote a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship between our organization and works councils, unions and other labor stakeholders by leading consultations, collective bargaining, dispute resolution procedures and all other aspects of the relationship

  • Guide and drive strategies to resolve difficult and/or sensitive workplace matters, providing objective coaching and guidance on performance, conduct issues and investigations

  • Conduct strategic reviews of current and possible employee relations risks and working with Legal, Employee Relations & Compliance, HR Business Leaders and managers to develop appropriate positioning in relation to compliance risks and desired business outcomes

  • Facilitating HR compliance reporting and audits

  • Measuring and monitoring key HR KPIs

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree and HR certification (i.e., MHRM, MILR, MBA with HR concentration and SPHR/SHRM-SCP, Prosci, DiSC, ICF, StandOut and/or other assessment or coaching certification preferred).

  • Seen as having potential to be a viable succession candidate for career progression within People Relations and HRBL or COE rotations.

  • Experience with process improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Simple Problem Solving).
